How To Do A typical Day For Babies

Bringing home a new baby comes with a slew of new responsibilities and challenges. Is it possible for new parents to have a typical day and night? Most likely not! Remember that the baby has just gone through an enormous change, so his transition from the womb to the outside world is part of the process when you first bring him home. Keep the baby close to you, wrapped up and warm.

If you're breastfeeding, this will take some getting used to for both of you. If your new baby is on formula, he will need to be fed every 3 to 5 hours. He'll need to feed more frequently if you're breastfeeding. You may feel as if everything you do is futile at times.

You may feel as if all you do all day and night is breastfeed. You'll probably feel a lot more sympathy for cows! And there will be many diapers to change, especially until you get to know his schedule. His diaper will most likely need to be changed shortly after feeding, perhaps once an hour at first.

Make sure to check in on a regular basis. You should keep sponge baths every few days until the umbilical cord has fallen off, but you should wash the baby's bottom every day. Every day, use a soft washcloth and warm water to wipe the baby's hands, face, neck, and bottom. When the baby is ready for full baths, which should be in a few weeks, bathe him or her every day.

To avoid diaper rashes, wash your hands every day. However, excessive bathing can dry out his sensitive skin. So experiment to see what works best for your baby. Those tiny finger and toe nails will grow quickly, and they'll need to be trimmed on a regular basis to keep the baby from scratching himself.

Even at birth, the baby's nails can be long and attached high on the nail bed. Gently lift the fingerpad away from the nail and clip it with a baby nail clipper. You might want to do this while the baby is sleeping to avoid jerking those tiny fingers and toes away! Get used to being busy around the clock for at least the first month.

You'll be feeding and changing diapers around the clock, so enlist as much assistance as possible so you can relax.
